On this site, they focus a lot on the newest, latest and greatest. Well, if you can't afford that, research "used beds". Quality commercial tanning beds are designed to last a long time, and with good bulbs, they can give a great tan. Unfortunatley, the manufacturers are always updating the appearance, making last years model look "dated". This makes me angry, because not all people can afford new to start. So what do you do? Know your market. Only 3 months ago, I would be considered "your star customer" A year round tanner who is outgoing and will refer to people all my favorite things. What did I notice about a tanning facility? 3 things. How the placed looked, if they were friendly and what my result was.
An option:
1. Buy used from a manufacturer(bc they inspect and test)
2. Know your customer's name
3. Plush out your tanning rooms(Takes the focus off the tanning bed appearance. Do you like to be naked in a cold stark room? Throw in a rug, a sconce light, good smelling candle, wall art and a nice chair. Offer some chocolate with the towel.)
4. Keep your bulbs fresh.
If that customer gets an awsome tan, what do you think she is going to remember? The way the bed looked, or her experience? |
