Rep Power: 0 | Hello everyone. First time poster and had a quick question about timers. I am looking at beds that have: *Digital timer with built in hour meter *Built in remote timer, daisy-chainable, and Tmax ready Am I to understand from these statements that I do not need a Tmax timer for each bed but rather a "manager"? Also, the software I am looking at also says they are Tmax timer compatible. Should I also assume that the software will work as the "manger"? And there will be no need for a Tmax timer or a manager? Thank you for your response. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: TanRob on 2005-08-25 19:32 ][ This Message was edited by: TanRob on 2005-08-25 19:36 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | I guess I'm a little confused about using timers and what exactly I need. I've been searching previous topics but I'm still unclear. Next week the electrician will be here and getting started on our new location. I need to give him some direction and the power seems pretty straight-forward. But I need help understanding the timer & manager set-up. I have narrowed down my software options to a few that control rooms (timers). Do I need more information from the bed manufacturer and software folks to make the electrician understand what I need to accomplish? From what I understand, I need to set up a daisy chain (not sure what that means beyond a loop of sorts). So from the software, I need a manager? And then I need timers in each room? What is the difference between 1A and 3A timers? These will come with wire from what I understand, are there specific instructions included for the electrician to hook up a daisy chain? Thank you and please bear with me here - the daisy/timer topic is very foreign to me, I will catch on quickly, I’m a pretty smart guy. BTW, I will have 3 rooms. |

Rep Power: 0 | I know I'm probably going to be chastised here for admitting this but the Solar Storm 32C. The software is going to be one of the top-sellers. Helios, Tan Track or if I get a chance to try it, Sun Touch. I'm having a difficult time choosing, I don't like anything I‘ve demo'ed. |

Rep Power: 68 | Never. I like the user interface and reports in Helios, but many salons like Sun Touch because of vendor issues. I prefer the T-max timer system and 3a boards (Each board and the manager will come with a 50' comm cord for the daisy chain network). There are several members here that can help you get your stuff. |

Rep Power: 25 | TanRob - www.appdig.com is the website for Applied Digital Inc - the company that makes the t-max timers and managers. If you go to that site, you can click on the first subject (T-max) and it will get you to a section with all the equipment they sell, FAQ's, downloadable manuals, etc etc. That should help a lot. Dan Boone is an employee at ADI that frequents the different tanning boards and is VERY helpful - he would be a good one to try to call or email as well. If there isn't a way to contact him through that website, there is another tanning board where they have a "forum" and you can submit specific questions. Out of respect for this forum, I'll PM that address to you separately. Since you are new - a "PM" will show up at the top saying "You have 1 new message". Click on that, or go to "messages" (top buttons) and you'll find it there! Good luck! |
