Rep Power: 0 | I have a hair and nail salon and am interested in adding a few tanning beds for my customers. We had a tanning salon next door and referred customers back and forth. Recently it sold and the new owners are moving it to the other end of town. My customers are wanting me to add bed for their convience and doing so I might be able to pick up a few that don't want to travel. My question is what kind of beds? I am limited on space and have to do a little remodeling to add them. I looked at Heartland and they do not have any used ones and even with their sale right now 10k is alittle to expensive not knowing if this will work out. I want something that shows you have a tan after tanning. I have used beds before that after a complete package you still look like a ghost. After doing some reading I understand the bulbs are what is important. Any help is appreciated. |

Better question; why did the new owner move it across town. This tells me that the business is not there. With that said, asking what type beds to buy is like asking, what type car should I drive. As for used beds, becareful who you buy from. Stick to reputable dealers only. You should lease, if $$$ is a concern for purchasing. Heartland is good, and they have a warehouse full of used quality beds. I was there last week looking myself. You need to call the McDonough, Ga location. Perhaps if room is limited you should consider standup units?? |

Rep Power: 0 | I'm in one of the busiest centers in the area. The new owners are moving to a new center under construction and I believe they might live at that end of town. The center has two establishments that sells liquor and I think that concerns them as we sit in the middle of both of them. Friday and Saturday night are pretty funny watching people try to get from one place to the other after having a few. The tanning salon has been there about 10 yrs and sold twice the business is there. The first owner didn't have tanning in mind and the second one owns multiple businesses and decided to slow down alittle. He is actually the one who got me stared on this. I talked to Heartland about leasing and considering that. There are a few tanning salons at this end of town and I have talked to two of the owners they have said two beds would be good for what I'm wanting. I will be building the rooms for the tanning beds and Heartland suggested 7 x 8 rooms. Looking at the different types of beds has just been alittle overwelming so I'm turning to the experts. |

Rep Power: 25 | Your room size will depend on what type of unit you are going to get. I sounds to me that you should just put in a couple of standard 100 Watt units and maybe a facial unit. Also, you need to check to see your available amp's on your breaker box. There is alot of good equipment in the market. Do some reasearch. As soapking stated make sure you are careful on purchasing used equipment. If you are looking at certain equipment, PM me and I will give you my honest thoughts of the equipment. If you have any technical questions you can also PM me on those. Good Luck... |
