Ask them to prove they got it from indoor tanning..........

Check: www.tanningtruth.com

And read info from other indoor tanning educational bodies such as NTTI.

I don't know anyone who got cancer from a tanning bed.Anything done in moderation is fine.Always hydrate your skin from the inside out.Damage that is done to the skin is usually done before the age of 18 and from the real sun.

had a customer tell me he had to have 2 skin cancers removed. He sarcastically implied he should sue me. He's tanned with me for 1 1/2 yrs.

Simply ask them this: "If skin cancer is caused by UV exposure, and UV comes from the sun, then why aren't people in the middle east dropping dead left and right over there?" "The reason is that skin cancer is not the result of UV exposure. Skin cancer is a genetic disease."

Not sure if you guys have seen the articles, but I printed them out to show to those concerned consumers about the bodys lack of Vitamin D, and being able to supplement it with sunshine. Pill supplements and foods we take in are not enough and/or problematic. Studies have shown that Vitamin D helps protect against lymphoma and cancers of the prostate, lung, and ironically, the skin. The strongest evidence is colon cancer. Some research even suggested that Vitamin D might help prevent 30 deaths for each one caused by skin cancer. Of course, same with anything, treatments must be done in moderation. The quoted that people have always thought that the sun and UV exposure leads to cancer because nobody has yet to challenge dermatologists for all these years, they have had the opportunity to brainwash the public for almost 20 years. This is a really valuable article. If anyone wants a copy, let me know your fax number, and I will send you what I have. Helps to have something in writing to protect yourself when trying to educate the public these days...
