Thumbprint check-in - tanTALK

Is anyone currently using the thumbprint check-in system at their salon? When the customer puts their thumb on the scanner, it brings up their account, packages, lotion purchases, etc. If yes, has it been successful?

Would not be without it. It's actually their Index finger and yes it's successful. But you pull up their account and ask them to verify this way you know it's them. You know your staff is not tanning people under different peoples accounts and you can set it up for your staff to verify their password for various other things.

You know, too bad they could not incorperate a way of "signing in" by a finger scannner instead of the sign in sheet. I hate that freakin thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Salon across the stree tried the finger deal. peeed a bunch of people off. It may make it easier for the salons. But I dont want to deal with this as another reason for people to get turned off.

I use the snapshot feature, and some even frown on that. The finger dealie would be more widely accepted, I believe, if it had a function other than security, that is, bringing up the clients screen.
