Rep Power: 0 | Ok, this is probably going to sound like a really silly question...but, I need to replace some facial lamps that are wire leads and have not taken off the acrylics yet because I'm afraid this is something that I will not be able to handle. I understand as a salon owner, I will be doing all kinds of maintenance myself and don't have a problem with it, but need some guidence. I can't find anything online or here that will give me some very simple instructions on how to do this! I bought a salon that has been very neglected with older equipment, so I don't have a disty to call for help with this matter. Thanks in advance! |

Rep Power: 68 | Yes, wire lead facial cartridges. The cartridges are hinged so that when you take out the retainer screw(s) the entire cartridge will swing down on two hooks. There is a main power cable harness that plugs into a receptacle. Should be able to just pull that out, lift up on the cartridge and pull the whole thing out. On the back side of the cartridge there are two clamp like bars held down by a single screw. Loosen the screws to allow the clamp to swing out of the way so that you can remove the lens glass on the front. You'll need a jewellers straight bit screw driver to loosen the screws on the ignitor (either a silver sylinder or green rectangle box with three terminals and 4 wires) for the two white wires. Once the white wire leads are loose from the terminals you'll see how to get the old lamp out. Reverse the process for putting in the new lamp. It doesn't matter which white wire lead you put back into the ignitor terminals. Does this make sense? Good luck. |

Rep Power: 107 | I little bit of mechanical apptitude can solve most tanning bed queries. It's just a big light fixture in most cases. Unless you have integrated air conditioning, multiple lamp adjustments (aka: dimmer switch), Multi-plex sound-system w/sound surround, Cable TV up to and including Multi-Vision, DVD player with sub-infusion capabilites and for some an extra $7.99 upgrade fee gives you a big red button that sends us into into nuclear war......... It's not a big maintenace problem, really. |

Rep Power: 25 | For the HP (facial) lamps, do NOT touch the lamp itself with your fingers - use a cloth/tissue. Don't want to get the oil from your fingers onto the lamp itself. |
