Rep Power: 0 | Currently I live in the Atlanta area, but we are planning on retiring in Spartanburg, SC. in a few years. I have given a lot of thought to opening a salon there, but I was wondering what kind of market might be there? If anyone can offer any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. |

Rep Power: 0 | I forgot to mention, it won't be in downtown Spartanburg but more on the outskirts, as we will be relocating to Inman, SC. I did a search and only came up with 1 tanning salon in Inman, which is a hair and tan place. Sorry for the confusion. |

Rep Power: 20 | Whatever you do, do not rely solely on demographics. Look at competitors. What are they charging? Type of equipment? I strongly recommend you do a market potential analysis. Check out Pointblank Business Technology. I can't recommend them enough. Here's their link: http://www.pointblankbusinesstechnology.com They will give you the true market potential for your area. Well worth the investment if you are planning on opening a tanning salon. |
