If you are a New Tanning Salon and you have read the 1,000's threads on ALL your questions and STILL do not receive your answer...than shame on you. POST AWAY. If you are looking for updated These are experienced business owners who have disclosed more than they should. Read it, print, study it.

Or others who try to use this site and others as hook up site...Or a place to meet friends-- aol chat room.
Now...the reality is we get more than a few of them year after year.

Different name, difference faces posted under their sig lines... and in reality they all could be the same darn person. Who knows and who friggen cares?

They also could be a MFG or a distie getting close and friendly to get you to go with their distie..or go exclusive with _________________.
And you have the nerve to say "Don't give out any info to anyone you are leary of."

Really is crazy coupon salon owning Joan Shmone from 2 miles down the road your town, USA. The woman that circles your parking lot on the way home every night.

If he/she is smart enough to go online and pretend to be some innocent lost fool.. that you just want to throw advise at...what difference does it make?

IF they were slick enough to do that they have been in your store have your complete price list, check out your beds, Called and spoke to your repeatedly.
Sent annoying bargain shoppers (never purchasing anything) for your famous deal closing tour....just to see how low you would go. And frazzle you with remarks about everything you don't have but their old salon did have.

And bet your smell cats ***....has milked your salon staff dry BAY-BEE!

For all the info they could get....
Under the guise of disgruntled client from the competition asking about the BIG commission package and expensive goo...always when your not there. Putting them at ease...Befriending them and teasing them with their hands almost on their wallets until that "I smell commission coming" gleam shines in their eyes.

Now that your staff member is thoroughly distracted the info flows...they will appease the client...and open up. They have no clue what to do half the time when client do this crap.
At this point THEN THE REAL questions come....sadly these types of clients leave only to promise to do it next time and disappear into the night. That same employee will ask you for days did so and soo come in a sign up I almost talked them into it.
This is a newer client that YOU have NEVER seen or heard of. And it usually is your dumbest empoyee saying this crap....imaging that?????
Don't believe me look up the name of person your ditziest employee said something similar about.And is wondering why that person had not come back since their inro package is done. they were soo nice. Now Look in their tan history and take special note that client probably only came in on her shift.

Trust me when I say they have very piece of literature in your lobby, including your new member form. They may have had many plants hire in preseason and quit....just before it hits. Or be so annoying you fire them.
They have indeed drove by at all o=hours to check out what was going on in your lobby...and counted your tanners coming and going. Too many times to remember.

So having said all of that what the h#ll difference does it make if you or others share a few 'how to's" openly online???

Now seriously- having said that do be leery -- consider it a compliment. You must be doing something right? They are obviously doing something wrong...Correct?
If they are desperate enough to resort to these measures to '007' as an innocent newbie in far far away land(that would absolutely no threat to you.)They have no skills and are so deep in **** that even if you email them a dumbed down version of The 'HOW TO' fix the problems they brought upon themselves.
On a video file, set to music and using the School house rock cartoon characters..it is already to late for them to save their lame asses.
SEE ME SAY- LAH OOOOZZZZZERS follow and winner do there own thing..not giving a rats *** what other think of them. Ahh here we get into subjective territory.

And THE TRUE WINNERS in life... have much much higher goals & values then to make the "Mostest ching in the leastest amount of time" (Yes, I am aware those words are not officially recognized by Websters)

And believe it or not...some winners by my definition (Loser by yours, more then likely) have come out on top~ even in this industry...More then you think.

Simple truths...
How about rally to make MFG's do what they claim on the back of their bottles!
And Disties to do what they claim in thier Big Book'o Beauty
(And ever so small section on tanning provided to hair and nail salons with the sole intention of screwing tanning salon owners out of more of thier money)

Not to worry-- if the shady but seemingly naive newbie I am helping figure out thier price structure.... is my competitor just trying to get into my head.

Like I said ----they already know my friggen home address and I don't wear a bra when I mow my lawn.

Sounds like MJ has either awoke on the wrong side of the bed, ot she has been that snoopy person looking into everyone elses business.

Why is it that no matter what anyone else has to say, you come back with your version and "expect" it to be reveared as the gospel. Have you forgotten that this forum is here to "Assist" others? Have you no sense of propriety to the point of allowing no other opinions to be heard or considered?

I get the feeling that, in your opinion, if it wasn't for your opinion, non of us would be able to think for ourselves. Like I said...Must be a bad day.

Neon may not always be Mr. Nice, but he does remind those newbies to look in the older threads for those questions that we have all seen posted here how many times? He has also did the research for them and pointed them in the right direction.

Just because you like to repeat yourself again and again, doesn't necessarilly mean the rest of us want to hear it again and again.

Oh yeah, Just because you may have had a bad run-in with a disty or mfg before, don't condem all of them. There are a few honest ones still out there. You just refuse to look.

If I disagree I explain why....based on a personal or known factor or reason. For the poster to get a better understanding and details to make a better decision on what would be good for them in their market or situation.

Reread just a few of my posts...if you think I was not. Then you have a comprehension problem. They have tutors for that.
