If you heart is with the tropical theme - how about Michigan's Island and you could do a "gilligan's island" decor. Have pics of the Skipper, the boat that got tossed, all the cast members. Mary-anne's famous coconut pies. The infamous radio that never worked. See if you could get a DVD of all the shows and pick out some of the scenes from episodes. WE ALL have watched the series. :0) I bet ebay may have some fun Gilligan's Island decorations.
