Rep Power: 0 | I just purchased a salon in July. Does any one use a "points system"? How does it work? Is it confusing to customers? Is it worth trying? I'd appreciate any info pro or con on it. My software system has the ability to keep track of points, but I'm lost as to how many points for what, and then can you have them only be able to use their points on lotion purchases? (trying to get lotion sales up!)thanks! |

Easier to "sell" an upgrade when they don't have to dig into the pockets again. But trying to explain the process to clients who may already be used to buying sessions may be difficult. then they may pressure you into selling by the minute if you aren't already. And converting existing packges over when computerized must be a pain!! For a new salon with no client data base it might be a way to set yourself apart from the others. |

Rep Power: 0 | We have had people call or stop in and ask if we use points or minutes. When I tell them no, they are glad. They have told me it is too confusing. I keep it simple, visit packages and per visit charge to uprade. |

Rep Power: 21 | I have points at the new location. Yes, it is new to clients. Yes, it can be confusing - the proper explanation is important. They are more flexible than sessions or minutes. I start by saying that one package can be used in all the beds - no upgrade fees or multiple packages to buy. Plus they can also be used to upgrade with the monthly pass. If their usual bed is busy and they don't want to wait - any other bed can be used without needing extra money. My packages are based on multiples of full sessions in the base bed. Therefore they can purchase a package size at a level they are familiar with. |
