Hi all and thank you for responding. I would like to know what is the difference in all these different beds. Base all the way up. 1st time tanners to prof. tanners. Beds that make you brown, some make you red. Some 10 min 12 min 15 min 8 min. How many of each do you need, to start a new salon? Do I have to look for wattage, number of bulbs, what do u look for when looking for different stage beds. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Maybe I am not phrasing it right. All salons have a few different types of beds. What is the reason for this?

Sorry this seems difficult...it is probably what you suspect....you have 100w base beds 32 bulbs and then you offer a "super" bed with facials usually with a higher watt canopy....then Mega bed with higher watts and more bulbs....for the all over tan no white stripes....."deeper quicker tan"....HP mostly UVA different tan tanning from the inside out...so to speak..."no burning rays" (higher uvb% now be careful)...
It depends on how many beds you plan on having and your market....there is not a right answer here...because we can never know everything about your market or competition..

Hi DWHITE6872 what is HP? So the higher the watts the sronger the bed IE..High pressure. I am looking to have 8-10 beds to start the salon including 1-2 standups. Now the VHR stand ups are considered high end beds? I understand people who have never tanned before need to develop a base tan on a lower watt bed. Then graduate to the stronger beds. Am I on the right track.

I hope this is not a dumb question. How do you know what to charge for different beds? Is there something you base it on? I am sure there is just not sure what it is?

ummm I base it on the price of the bed ....if you are looking to have 8 -10 beds I would guess 5 lower lever 100w/ 4 super beds with facials 160W and and 1 mega bed 200W and then a Bermuda Triangle stand up in the corner with the dressing room...200w stand =p.....incrediable stand up...drive around your city and see what everyone has for tanning salon equipment.
