Hi guys
In the city I live in only two businesses offer spray on tanning. One is a reg tanning salon that has a spray booth the other, is a spa that offers airbrush . I would like to open a salon that soley does airbrushtanning and massages. Not sure though if it will be profitable. Has anyone tried it? Or does anyone think it would be profitable?

I would most definitly not just do airbrush tanning and massage. by massage do you mean the machines that have water in them or regular massage therapists? If you meant the machines I would suggest getting it for your private home use not for business. I got one last year when i first opened and it didn't make any money. Its currently in our bonus room in our house.

But as far as the airbrush tanning I really wouldn't soley rely on just that. there have been a few places who have stuck to airbrushing and uv free tanning and have gone out of business. Most people need a base tan to see good results from the effects of DHA. But then again it depends on your demographics and what people in your area like. I wouldn't even think of doing just airbrushing unless I lived in beverly hills and targeted the models/actors.

Thanks Hot for the info. By massages I meant real massages.

I only know of one salon that does only airbrush tanning and I believe they do OK but maybe you could do like nails massages and airbrush tanning? Just an idea so you keep some kind of money flowing
