Rep Power: 0 | This thought always runs through my head when I go into the salon in our area. They offer a peppermint on the towel on the bed. I always have a flash of someone popping the peppermint into their mouth, lying back on the bed, falling asleep and choking in their locked room. any thoughts? Perhaps blowpops or suckers would be less scary |

Rep Power: 21 | How old are your tanners? I think anyone over the required age of 14 (in IL) should be responsible enough to lay down with a piece of candy and not choke. What if you gave them a sucker that they finished while tanning - then, went to stand up, and fell over and the stick poked out their eye? What I would not trust is ANYONE of ANY AGE in a room with gum. I have not had a choking problem and if I did I would just mint nazi them. No Mints For You!! |

Rep Power: 20 | I have candy in the vanity area, not in the rooms- but for a different reason. I have thoughts about constantly picking up wrappers and finding have eaten candy in my artificial plants...Not to mention attracting vermin... |

Rep Power: 21 | I provide candy at the front counter for tanners to choose at their discretion. Most put wrappers and unfinished candies in the garbage can provided. I have an assortment - not just mints and many clients look forward to it as part of treating themselves. I get more complaints if I'm out of candy than if a lamp goes out on a bed. |

Rep Power: 20 | When I first opened I made it part of our set up process to put a candy on every bed. Everyone loved it. Then I had a young paramedic/fireman come in here and tan and after a few visits he said he had envisioned coming here and getting someone out of a tannig bed that was choking on my candy. Well, I thought about it for a while and just had the candy ready at the counter for them. I guess it doesn't matter how old you are if you could suck it down wrong, highly unlikely, but I didn't want to take the liability chance. A few people missed it, but can still get candy before they go in and now I also put the soft peppermint out and that just melts in your mouth so I figure less likely to choke on. Everyone is ok with it. |

Rep Power: 0 | We have placed a sucker on a towel on the beds for years with no problems. We provide a container of extras in the room in case they want a different flavor. About 50% of the people actually eat one. I find a few sticks behind the bed but not very often..probably the same people who put their used heart sticker on the back side of the bed. |
