Rep Power: 0 | Hi everyone as you can see I am new to this board. I am moving to back to the east coast from California at the end of this month. I will be opening a salon with 9 beds and 3 stand ups, and a mystic booth. I have been pleased with a few different brands. Such as Ergoline, Miracle Sun, Sun Italia. I will have standard beds in there as well, but I will be selecting a higher end clientele for my primary target, in the middle-age female demographic. I have spoke with distributers from all of manufacturers and have scheduled appointments to meet with them when I get back. I am also looking at locations with 3 phase electric, and all of that good stuff. I found a few different brands of lotions that I like and will be carrying. I know the primary season for tanning on the east coast is January to June. I do not want to rush, and do have time. I will not open for this season and will plan to open Jan. '06. I will do this to gain more knowledge of the industry, and well as follow trends for a little while. I want my salon to look like what I have always imagined, and that is why I want to do all of this planning. ANY comments and suggestions would GREATLY be appreciated. Thank you, and its nice to find a forum like this |

Rep Power: 22 | You don't need that long to research unless your preference is to ready, aim, aim, aim, aim, aim, aim, aim, aim, and then shoot the gun. If you've found a great location, you may be better off to ready, shoot, and aim the gun later - as many great companies have. A lot can happen in years. Hit your search button and do a lot of reading here. You'll learn much. |

Rep Power: 0 | Ok, yes it is '04. I have been doing a ton of reasearch on here, and other places. "Nice" thoughts on ergoline. I wasn't going to buy now, just finding out hwat types of beds are out there, and what is still in the thought phase and will be in production at the time I am ready to open, but now I am thinking of opening earlier, and push to open for this upcoming season. I will be making a large investment of my own money, I know it is a risk I am taking but I may be being a little to cautious. Thank guys!! |
