Rep Power: 0 | Tanning business is a CASH business which means that tax returns won't do much in the way of true authenticity and bank statements mean absoutely ZERO because anyone who runs an all cash business is not going to put it in the bank and leave a trail for the IRS to follow and bust them. They are keeping thier cash in a safe at home. You want to know how much a tanning salon is bringing in, help the owner count the cash at the end of every night for a year, then you'll know. I am looking myself for a tanning salon to purchase, I know how difficult it is to put a value on an all cash business. Good luck. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Purchase An Existing Salon Long and interessting discussion! The Business broker's bible is "Business Reference Guide" by Tom West. It values tanning salons at 70-75% of annual sales. Knowing the profitability of salons (in my area at least), this roughly translates into about 2 times net earning. I am in the market to purchase an existing tanning salon in the Saint Louis, MO area... though I might consider a startup if I can be profitable in a year! New is better, right??? |
