Rep Power: 0 | Hay Weezey, I think this is a topic our whole industry should get involved in. We as Salon owners should know all there is to know about the skin. I went to the Encyclopedia and read about skin types and layers. I also found alot of info. from Medical sights. This did not take long, but I continue reading about skin, Skin cancer, Lotion Ingrediants, Vitamins and Minerals because it all play a part in Tanning and telling other how to take care of thier own skin. The Vitamin D issue was great for our industry, but there is much more we could be teaching to the public. |

Rep Power: 21 | You know I have had clients come in and cancel their memberships after the stupid Prevention magazine article came out. This is my opinion, the sun has been around before Jesus, our forefathers were out in the sun from morning to night farming the land, why all of a sudden is it such a bad thing? I read Dr. Hollick's UV Advantage and I highly reccomend anyone involved in tanning read his book. After reading this book you will have education enough to arm you with amo when a client brings up the negative tanning press. |

Also if you don't get enough, you can develop...yadda, yadda. Also I hold up the UV ADVANTAGE and tell them that most of the negative press is due to the release of this book. |
