Having only just joined recently to gain information & insight to the industry, its really disappointing to see the sort of c..p that those in the know post. If some of you, (since you're not thick, you will know who you are whereas the rest of us, by your standards, are thick),are that annoyed by having to consistently answer the same old questions, time & time again (boring ah!)then go play in your own playground & stay there. Some of us are genuinely interested in finding out info that will help us & others, so dont be so two-faced by being on one hand friendly & then go slag us off on another forum. Unlike you fortunate, successful, we know so much & our egos are beyond reach users, some of us are unable to spend that much time sifting through the BS to gain much needed info. And the scary thing is, once we have reached plateau of successfulness, will be become arrogant and rude too?

Name of the Site = TanTalk
Name of this forum = Tanning Biz Newbies

Other forums do not afford the SAME protection as this one does .....

Questionairs HERE are hardly ever ripped a new *******.... it is EXPECTED that the info sought will be basic and repeatitive....

But the rest of the forums are there for you to sit back and learn from... WE ALL did not come out to of the shoot knowing all there is to know about tanning---- good salon owners understand they will be learning every day.

Like the frustration I feel when 13 year old boys keep chattering here about lotions and pm'ing me demands for me to email him my favorites ~ ~ well, that is the same feelings veteran salon owners must feel with the newbie questions/demand for information on the other forums.

On ALL websites there is a SEARCH function.... easy to use - and by far the most USEFUL TOOL for anyone in need of information...

Have a question on EFTs? use that as the key word

Question on Minutes vs Sessions try that search

What distributor to use ??? Again- tons of info that can give you guidance

Can't be thin skinned in this industry... or on the sites either.

I am under no doubt that the replies I have received have been helpful & yes I do appreciate those that I did get, but I'm just really disappointed about the response other people have received when they are genuinely enquiring. Yes you do need to be thick skinned but that shouldnt stop you from showing a level professionalism as well. Just take a look & see how many visitors are on this site daily, & by what I discovered by searching other forums is that you can soon pick out whose who & it wouldnt take a rocket scientist to perhaps work out that that maybe the salon who has taken their money & has little disregard for their custom. I feel that alot of the comments on here drag the industry down, & perhaps if some idiots feel they need to stuff around then do it on forums that are salon only, then those who want legitimate anwsers may get them, as I mentioned, without having to sort through the crap. You two mentioned being thin skinned, by your own replies, perhaps you may want to grow a few more layers & not be so touchy either!!

Well, actually you told sheila she was an idiot, I was referring to idiots in general who "stuff around" which means muck around, or fool around etc. At no point did I refer to anybody by name and all I suggested was perhaps your not so thick skinned after all!
Please dont be a hypocrite by posting stupid replies on here & then being pleasant as pie replying to my other posts.

All I was doing is taking a quote from you, your SENTENCE, and asking what the heck "stuff around" meant. Sorry I'm not from "down under" and don't get the lingo...

I was also trying to tell you that Shelia is someone you don't want to mess around with...But hey, be my guest.

As far as your second comment goes, I was pleasant as pie BEFORE responding to your RANTING post right here.

I was pointing out that you have been given some good ideas to your questions and thought that Sheila's ideas (use the search feature) might be a good idea...

I think your beginning post here is in response to Neon's thread about people asking the same questions over and over again. Whereby I suggested a FAQ section that might remedy the problem.

Thin skinned is not my problem, though you might want to remember that your signature phrase also applies (in some instances) to yourself.

I'm sure that I've asked questions that have been asked numerous times. I have had nothing but generous answers given back - and I appreciate it a bunch. Sorry if I'm redundant, I'm a newbie and I've gained lots of help from several of you.

By the way, NJTANMAN, you might want to check out what's wrong with your post that seems to show up on most of the topics I've seen lately.
