Rep Power: 21 | I am purchasing 2 sundash (10 min) beds. Am I making an unwise decision. Can you build a nice base tan with ten minute beds? This is just an extra service to the clients of my hair salon. What's your opinion? |

If you can, add at least a mid-leveled VHR..160/100w bed, in lieu of one of the SunDash.. Give something for the tanner to progress to..or don't offer tanning at all. You won't make money off only 2 of the same levels. If room is the problem, get a standup VHR..at least 46+ lamps of 160w. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: soapking on 2004-01-16 08:20 ] |

However, many tanners prefer longer sessions so they can relax longer. I agree with the above all the way. I have a 10 Min Stand-up too but most of my customers use the 20 min beds 80% of the time. Rep Power: 107 | Many clients use their tanning time to relax and enjoy the heat, the tan is just a welcome addition. I may relamp my 12 minute bed and make it a 20 minute unit. It's only getting used half the time. |

Rep Power: 0 | I have 2 Sundash 10 minute beds but the clients that usually get in those are the people that are usually in a hurry all the time and you can get a base tan and maintain it. But alot of my clients LOVE going 20 minutes because that is their time to relax and forget about everything else. I also have higher level beds so I would consider like having 1 or 2 of those kind of beds. |

Rep Power: 0 | Wow! It is hard to decide what the best thing to do is. I am also looking to open a salon soon, and have recently purchased a Ergoline 600 used. I am trying to decide what other beds I should start with that are in my price range. I am trying to go with all gently used equimpment to start as to keep my overhead down. What are your thoughts on that? |
