Rep Power: 21 | Oh, and by the way, EZ Jim, the process involves applying the lotion daily AFTER TAKING A SHOWER to allow it time to absorb into the skin to work at it's peak level. NO, it does not mean that you can't take a shower! The fact that the accelerators have to be applied in this manner, however, is exactly the reason that WE DO NOT CARRY ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS! THEY ARE MISLEADING TO THE CUSTOMER BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT WORK AT THEIR PEAK LEVEL WHEN APPLIED ONLY IN A SALON DIRECTLY BEFORE UVR EXPOSURE! Jim, I don't want to keep arguing with you. I have been in this industry for over 12 years now and I do have some clue as to what I am saying. I realize that you don't believe that I do, but until you have 12 years under your belt and are a trainer for other tanning salons, GET OFF MY BACK! Sorry about the venting, everyone! |

Rep Power: 29 | You don't sell tanning lotions is what you are saying? For 12 years you haven't sold tanning lotions? If the Looking Fit book was published for the 2002-2003 season, have you known about this for 12 years or just now coming across this info in 2002? How are you still in business without lotion revenue? Actually, after looking through my Looking Fit NTTI training manual a year and a half later I can say that there is a lot of questionable material in there. Doesn't mention very much about tanning lotions specifically at all. |

Rep Power: 22 | OK...guess I will jump in here... I have on the shelf right now...EB, AG, DS, FS, and Fiji...guess what they all have Tyrosine in them...So April does this mean you dont carry tanning lotions. Mind you I dont want to be called a basher again...but all of our tanning products have accelerators in them. At least the ones on my shelves. |

Rep Power: 23 | If one could afford to throw out their wal-mart body lotions,or reg moisturizers from any tanning line, Your best bet for your skin would be to use a high end tanning lotion 3 or 4 times a day wether tanning or not. Ag,Cal Tan, DS, All have good med. to high end lotions that are better then then any reg. moisturizer . And guess what, THEY ALL HAVE SOME TYPE OF ACC. Also, if mouthy would understand Looking Fit's meaning ~ applying moisturizers days ahead gets your skin in healthy condition, of course applying for a few days will work better than immediately before the tanning session. NOT that you must apply and wait 3 days!!! I've had disagreements with both engfant and neon on this which were strictly diff. of how each of us felt in our opinions. and we moved on. Mouthy wants to keep preaching on and on about witch she does not understand. Not only on this topic but on several others on every board. GET A LIFE & CLEAN YOUR MOMMY'S BEDS. |

Rep Power: 21 | The lotions that we don't carry are the ones that are only accelerators. The amplifiers are products that can be applied directly before a tanning session and work at their peak level. There are several lotions that are both accelerators and amplifiers. Yes, most of the lotions have tyrosine in them, but the ones that use tyrosine as the base are accelerators. Other lotions have tyrosine in them, but the amplifiers are products that have more moisturizers in them rather than a base of tyrosine. That is why amplifiers work better than accelerators because they focus on moisturization. We carry amplifiers in our salon. If a lotion has more tyrosine than moisturizers in it, we will not carry it. We sell quite a bit of lotion, as a matter of fact, because we teach our customers about the importance of moisturization and we teach them how to keep their skin as moisturized as possible to allow the UV to penetrate the skin instead of bounce off of dead, dry skin. We carry Aloha products and Tatoo, Body Bronze , Body Shots, Sex on The Beach, and a private label lotion. We have found that these products focus on the moisturization level better than any product offered by AG or even Cal-Tan and DS. |
