Rep Power: 0 | Mollina, I am new too. I am due to open in Dec., if all goes right. I have tanned at approx. 30 salons, and have researched the bus. for about 1 year. I try not to give advice, and just stick to asking a ton of questions~ but~ Think about it, do you really feel comfortable picking up that dirty towel? I have always seen them placed in the hall, or in a discrete common area to be placed by the customer before leaving. I am not a germ freak, but I will be wearing gloves when I load the washer. Trash cans are a must. If I am done with my lotion bottle, or after removing my make-up w/ my Ponds towels, I want a place to dispose of them. Think of the cust.(teenager) w/ the gum, ??? where will that end up if there isn't a garbage. Go to the dollar store, it's worth it. I also think mirrors are a must. I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you choose, as long as you have one in every room. I have decided to go with a smaller full length that I found at Lowes for $7. Can't beat the price. Towels ??? It depends on market, # of beds, your volume. GOOD LUCK! |

Rep Power: 0 | We place laundry baskets in the hall, use small mirrors in your rooms unless you want your tanners taking an extra 10 minutes to get out of the room, and mesh garbage cans to help deter your tanners from releiving themselves in them. |

Rep Power: 0 | Due to clients stealing towels, We no longer have them throw their own towel in a basket. We now have them leave their towel on the bed. Since we changed to leaving them on the bed, we have not had 1 towel stolen. As for mirrors and waste baskets, we have them in each room. Haven't had any bad experiences with these. Takes a little effort to clean the mirrors and empty the garbages at the end of the night, but that's part of owning a business. |

Rep Power: 25 | We have clients place their dirty towels in hampers located in the halls. We have small trash cans in each room with plastic liners. We have no mirrors in the rooms, but several full length mirrors in the halls and restrooms. And have 20-25 dozen towels on the shelf for 14-17 beds. |

Rep Power: 0 | Wea are pretty much like Teresa's salons except we do have small facial mirrors in the rooms. It hasn't been a problem and I have never had a towel stolen. Occasionally, someone walks out with it in their hand accidentally and then they are so embarrassed when they bring it back in! |

Rep Power: 22 | We also have a hamper in the reception area where they deposit a towel if they used one. There is a waste basket in each room which is emptied after each client leaves as part of the bed cleaning. That prevents anyone putting anything ugly in an overflowing basket. We do not have mirrors in the room as people take too long to primp. There are mirrors in the reception areas. |

Rep Power: 22 | We have 3 hampers placed throughout the salon.. We ask clients to place them in the hamper. No trash cans or mirrors in the rooms. Trash cans can and have been used for toilets, with mirrors takes clients longer to leave the room. We have a vanity area for makeup and for the clients to look at themselves. About 8 to 10 dozen towels is what I started with, took them home everynite to wash.. |
