Rep Power: 0 | I am a new salon owner. I bought it used. First question. I am running low on "wink ease". where to I get more? Second question. Anyone here thought about getting rid of EFT plans? They are a PITA and I don't have that many of them. I only have about 15. I was thinking about ditching it. Most of my customers just keep pre paying one month at a time anyways. I was thinking of ditching it totally or just drafting EVERYONE's payment on the same day. This garbage of manually keeping track of who owes what on what day is garbage. Also I need to get hooked up with a Cal Tan and Designer Skin distributor. That's what we sell. I am starting to run low. |

Rep Power: 107 | P.S. Don't use an EFT system here, but it sounds like you are not using any type of Salon Software. Might be worth the investment, most will track who owes what and when, along with many other reports and client histories. Steer clear of Helios unless you can get an older version that is before V10 when ETS took over the co.. |

Rep Power: 23 | Sweetheart - - do not drop your EFT yet. You need to READ and learn and FAST..... You have 15 eft clients cause that is what was SOLD prior.... you need one or 2 full service distributors and you need to find one you can TRUST.... There are people in this industry that are just smacking their lips thinking about taking you for a ride.... pleeeeeese - you need to get set up right.... do NOT make hit and miss decisions - get some help from pros that don't WANT to sell you a freeking leg tanner or a freeking spray booth or a freeking bikini franchise!!! Based on your location - your competition - and your will to succeed.... you can keep the salon at a failing level - or you can really Rock ..... you got some time before the Busy.... like 4 months.... don't be lazy - get reading!!! other good sites are www.tanformation.com and www.tanningdivas.com it is always a good idea to get a varity of opinions but REMEMBER - it is YOUR responsibility to make the decisions - - - There's no whining in Tanning Good Luck ~ |

Rep Power: 0 | Rock, We draft our EFTs on only 2 dates (1st & 15th). I would not get rid of them either. Get more. It is guaranteed income during slower months. There is lots of info here on EFTs. Do a search on TanTalk and see what you can find and feel free to ask any questions. Pam _________________ ****************************** Take time to learn from others' mistakes. Rep Power: 21 | I think it is essential to draft EFTs on the same day - especially if you have not yet invested in any salon software. (Helios v.9 is great if you can get it!) But those EFT's are a guaranteed source of revenue for you, and it really comes in handy during slow season. Focus on selling those EFT's and try offering some specials or incentives if they don't go over well at first (X Month free, etc.) They are a god-send! Good luck! -alarris |
