Rep Power: 0 | I am finally at the stage of purchasing beds for my salon and am contacting a few companies that I am interested in. I spoke to Jay from Future Industries to get some information and pricing. I found him to be very evasive when answering my questions. My gut feeling tells me to eliminate them from consideration even though I have heard good things about their beds. What do you all think? Have any of you dealt with Jay? |

Rep Power: 0 | If in doubt, don't! Trust your gut. I don't know the company or the man but I know to trust my instincts about a person. You are going to give this person/company a huge chunk of change, you need to feel good about it so either switch companies or the person you are dealing with at this one. You are wise to do some research before you drop the cash! I recently bought beds from Heartland and have nothing but praise for the way I was treated all along the way. Also, love the beds. Rep Power: 0 | Lakai, evasive means I asked direct questions. Some he answered to my satisfaction. Others he just blew off. For example, I asked with them being in Conn. and me in Del. if I had a sevice issue that couldn't be resolved by phone how long would it take for someone to repair my bed. To me this is an important issue because it involves possible lost income. He never would give me an answer or even an estimate. |

Rep Power: 23 | If you get a bad feeling now, it will become a worse feeling later. I received this same treatment while helping a friend shop for a property. Most property managers were right up front with numbers, lease terms, etc., but another kept saying how everything was negotiable. If they are a weasel on Friday, they'll still be a weasel on Wednesday. |

Rep Power: 0 | I agree. I just don't want to eliminate what may turn out to be a great company with a crappy sales rep. I have just learned that Jay is inexperienced with Future. Maybe this is why I get bad vibes. Maybe I should try working with another sales rep., but I don't know if this can be done since he made the first contact with me. |

Rep Power: 0 | Grandpa, Here is your best course of action. You can ask to speak to the sales manager. Express your feelings about Jay, and that you would still like to give the company a chance. But be careful! They will probably tell the next rep all about it, so he will be overly nice to you. It could be a trap, could not be. It's a craps shoot. Have you considered Sunsource beds? Rep Power: 22 | I would start by seeing what local distributors you have in your area. You do want someone close by who can come at a moments notice to work on your beds. I would never use someone who says they know how to maintence my beds. I had the company I bought my beds from show me the ropes when they delivered and they are 45 minutes down the road, they can come in the same day if needed. You should shop some more. |

Rep Power: 25 | Grandpa, You need to be comfortable with your rep. Get references from the company of salons they have sold equipment to. Not just a couple they choose. They should print a long list from their data base where you can pick and choose what reference you want to call. This will give you a better answer on how they treat you when it comes time for service. I also a sales rep for a company and I make sure my potential customer understand our service arrangements. Rep Power: 0 | Hi there, Grandpa, you should talk with David Graham with FI. I met him at Vegas this year and he is a great guy. He will answer all questions you have and make you feel comfortable. 800-346-3136, Ext. 138. Like all others have said, you should be comfortable with your rep. I call mine just to BS about things once a week. We were thinking about FI beds but we are scared of border hassles when we are in Canada, when we need parts and the paperwork might be missing and shipping delays, etc.... Good Luck |
