I am in the process of either purchasing an existing salon or starting a new one. I have the option to purchase a salon that is showing approx $60k gross with $13k net, it has 7 puretan arubas, 1 klafsun and 1 hex has been in business for 13 years only 3 under this owner however the current owner managed for the previous owner for 7 years. The purchase price is $29,900

I wanted to know if those numbers were right for the asking price of $29,900.00. Or do I need to looking at something else, or think about new

I found a deal that sounded like that, but I did some research and there were two mjor salons (state of the art0 opening within one mile from that location. The beds were old and it needed a lot of TLC. Guest like new and improved.

What does the client list look like, how many are tanning now? How old are the beds, when were they last relamped? How much other salons are around? What is your experience with the tanning industry? What kind of business background do you have? Do you have plenty of working capital to start with? What kind of inventory is in the salon now? Are the beds paid off? This is a great way to make money, and meet wonderful people and make great friends. YOu have more questions to be answered before jumping into business. I have been in business for 2 years and it really is not the easiest thing in the world to do. Hope this helps. The price sounds great. But like I said you need to get answers for the above questions.
