I have always wanted to own my own tanning salon. The reason I haven't done anything about it is that I don't have the money to start a business. Does anyone have any advice about how to start this type of business with very little money? Please help.

Guys... If you dont have any $$ or access to any $$ the off season will kill you... You must be prepared to support the place for a minimum of the first three years.. MINIMUM. Im not saying you will or will not break even or even make $$ the first year.. You can do it... But HOW COULD YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT NOT HAVING ANY RESERVES? My fear is that you will be buying yourself a job rather than starting an investment... You are going to need plenty of $$ for advertising and much, much more ....

Everyone really needs to think hard before they make a decision that could affect them for the rest of your lives. Owning a business is not as glamourous as one might think. I just got back from vacation and all I could think about was, has the salon burnt down, did my employees take good care of the customers, etc.
And money is a big deal. Everyone knows the saying - It takes money to make money. It's true. You have to have enough money to tide you over for slow season. Without that, you could lose everything. Is it worth it to jump into something without having your bases covered? Not to me it isn't.
Best of luck regardless of your decisions.
