Nothing new yet. I counter offered just to make it go away........ legal fees are mounting. My husband did speak to another salon owner in our state who is having the same problem. Maybe we can help each other. Some people have the opinion they are bluffing..... does anyone know of a salon who has had their beds repoed? The Attorney Generals office said they don't deal with business to business issues. Only consumer to business. What about that!!!!

How about letting them know you are posting this on a tanning message board? TanTalk has over 1000 registered users, therefore this information is reaching tanning salons all over the country.

This is really bad PR for them.

Can they be banned from the Tanning Conventions? Trade mags should refuse their ads. They will put a lot of people out of business. Good luck...hope you can sue for harrassment, mental stress. Like they haven't made money already, they want a $5,000 payment AND your beds!

Oh, and if they're at a convention, can we picket them?

Tommel refused my latest offer and came back with $5,000 now and 2 payments of $500.00 before the end of December. The lawyer has cost me $500.00 already, and hasn't done anything but make a few phone calls! The other two gentlemen I have found with the same problem are going to fight them all the way.I wish I had the money to do just that! Don't know what to do.

Can't you all use the same attorney? I'm just thinking that if you had one attorney fighting for all of you in a civil action, you could split the bill. Plus you have more power together than doing it singlely.

Can you really afford not too? Are you really willing to lose all the money you have invested? You wind up losing everything.!!!

There has to be a way that you can file a injunction, that they can't take the beds until you go to court. What does your attorney say? Or is this out of his realm?
I use Bankers leasing, and I love them. I have a small buy out at the end of my lease. If you want their pn# I will be happy to give it to you. Maybe they could give you some advice.They have always bent over backwards for me.Let me know.

I'm with you Chris. I was ready to do business with Tommel. I kept giving them the opportunity to give me the best rate possible over a three-five month time period. They kept rushing me about getting a copy of my lease and signing a contract etc. The final, best quote they could give me was $50 a month less than the original quote. I then started checking around more thoroughly through searchs. I found Bankers Leasing and talked with **** Kath, the owner. No hassle, no pressure and a $900 a month difference. I called Tommel back and told them that I had found a better deal and sorry I couldn't do business with them. They begged me to tell them what percentage I was getting with Bankers but I wouldn't tell them. I told them that they had many opportunities to give me their best price and they could even give it one more try and if it beat Bankers I would consider it. They called me back a couple of days later and said they found out the rate I was getting and they could not match or even come close.

Now after reading all of the problems people are having with them, I can't tell you how lucky I feel that I narrowly escaped the same fate!
