Rep Power: 0 | For the first 9 yrs we took appointments:Hassle finding an appointment book that match our time schedule. Ending up making our own.Phone constantly ringing, therefore requiring a person at the front desk at all times.Trying to collect "no-show" fees if a client didn't keep their appointment.During busy season, we could not accommodate our "walk-in" cliental.Overall... It just added stress to our clients and us.For the last 7 yrs, we have been "No Appointment necessary".Saved on printing cost. Now when the phone rings, their checking on our business hours. No more "fighting" with the client over a $3.00 fee.Everybody is walk-in!!!! We eliminated the other list above, and life has been alot less stressful.Hope this may help you in your decision.--------------------Viper Jon@phiper.fws1.com[ August 29, 2001: Message edited by: Phiper ] |

Rep Power: 24 | We currently do appointments. If we can accomodate walk ins, we will gladly do so. I think after we make the salon move, we may go to a NO APPOINTMENT policy. Those that do this, do you find that you have a lot of people sitting around in the lobby area waiting a turn? Especially during peak season at say....5pm on a Friday? Thanks! |

Rep Power: 23 | NO APPOINTMENTS! Yes, I have people sitting in my lobby waiting for a bed on Friday afternoon. And, while they are waiting they are looking at my sidelines and purchasing. The wait is never more than 15 minutes. Just long enough for them to spend money. Love it. I wouldn't change it for the world. |

Rep Power: 0 | So is it normal to be scared witless when you are going to be the first "NO appointment" salon in a town that seems set in their ways???? I have never liked having to set up an appointment to tan and would rather wait. So I am going this way. What side lines do you carry? I am VERY interested and have a lot of dead space up front adjacent to the waiting area? Just begging to have some cool merchandise!!!! |

Rep Power: 0 | We are planning on doing no appointments but have kicked around doing appointments only for those who are members. No waiting option for members only might be a good selling point. What does everyone think? |
