Rep Power: 23 | If you are still in the planning stages or just opened, what is the one thing that you still don't think you understand completely?Laws, how the equipment works, employee relations, dealing with customers. Is there something that you feel you need to fine tune? |

Rep Power: 0 | Tangirl: Don't know how I missed this thread. I still haven't figured out this whole pricing system for points, pkg, memberships ect. Is it just so simple that I can't see it. Why have so many choices? I read everything I can about this topic and print it all out so that I can compare it all. But when it comes down to firming that descision, I feel uncertain as to my own understanding of it . God help the poor customer when I try to explain it. The points really blow me away. I have a college education so I should be able to grasp this...but I'm not. |

Rep Power: 23 | Sandman, maybe I can help explain the points system. After reading many, many posts on different sites I decided to offer a monthly unlimited on my base beds, an EFT program with discounts on upgrades and a points system instead of sessions. The idea behind the points/credits/star system is for clients to be able to tan on different levels without having to buy seperate packages/sessions. It also camoflages exactly how much they are paying per session. This is a completely new concept in my area and sometimes people seem completely confused when I explain it to them so I use this analogy: It's like going to the carnival and buying a bunch of tickets and each ride has a different ticket amount. They really seem to grasp it better. Hope this helps! Kathy BellaDonna Tan |

Rep Power: 0 | Kath, I just looked at your pics Very Nice! Have you tried printing a flyer with pics and then having how many credits to "ride" on this bed technique? It seems to help me and they take it with them, so someone else sees it YEAH! Stole it from Mark Bell the idea that is. I still feel like I need to send a thank you card |

Rep Power: 23 | Thanks, but the pics belong to Kath"i", I'm just plain ole Kath. She does have a beautiful salon. I would like to post pics of my new salon, but don't know how. I do have a brochure with all packages listed including points, but no pictures, just logo. Kathy BellaDonna Tan |

Rep Power: 23 | We were quite intimidated by the idea of taking a bed apart, but have on a couple of occasions had to do it ourselves. It is not as difficult as you think, especially when you are under pressure to get it operational in a hurry. |
