HEY EVERYONE! I'M HOPING TO OPEN A TANNING SALON IN 2002. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY TIPS THAT WOULD HELP MY SALON GO IN THE RIGHT TRACK AND BECOME SUCCESSFUL? SUGGESTIONS ON TANNING EQUIPMENT, LOTIONS, AND INSURANCE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. ALSO, IS LEASING BEDS A GOOD OR BAD IDEA?

Princess, look at it as a staging process, location, buildout, equiptment, ope ning. each of these stages has many varables.and a lot of info is available from many sources, including myself. just call 800-338-8267--ext247Elec. and ac needs in a new site should beaddressed first. then attend to the buildoutat about the same time as buildout , maybeearlier order beds when buildout is done have beds del. and do setup. of course thereis a lot of education to be digested in this time frame, make notes on everything. hold people accountable for what they tell you. and by all means trust your gut feeling when you talk to people about YOUR SALON!!!

When purchasing equipment and lotions for your new salon you have every right to expect that your distributer will be there to help you along the way. They should as was mentioned provide any info you may need including salon setup, a/c and electrical info, and help with pricing. If you aren't happy with the level of service you are recieving shop around.
