I'm currently looking at both programs for my new salon (hope to open in 2 months). What are the major differences in both or are they about the same. I have experimented with both free trial versions and don't see a huge difference. What are your thoughts when comparing the two? Thanks

Linden, I'm sorry it has taken so long to answer your question.I have Helios in my salon. I like it. It has some quirks, but once you get used to them it is a really good software. I have never used Suntouch, so I must keep my comments to myself. I will just say that I haven't heard anything good about it. Since you have some time left, contact these software companies. I know that Helios will send you a free demo version to try out. Some of the other companies will also.Let us know what you decide!

I have had Suntouch in my salon for over 5 years. I love it. It also has some quirks (as do all software programs), but once you get used to them it is really good software. It is EASY to learn, EASY for your employees to learn, EASY... Did I mention EASY?... and EASY to setup. We started out trying Helios, but in all fairness this was back when it was a DOS program. We could not get it to setup properly and the "codes" were a pain in the butt. I have heard good things about it, but haven't tried the window's version. --------------------Viper Jon@phiper.fws1.com
