Rep Power: 0 | I have a general question for guys. If all the beds were the same age, and all taken very good care of, which brands do you think hold up the best? We are probably going to have to get used beds to start with, at least the 3 basic 20 minute beds. Do any brands stand out? Any to absolutely stay away from? Thanks ..... |

Rep Power: 0 | We have three ETS 4000 watt beds for now. They are about five years old and look great. We got those for 1500 each.We are also looking at a high performance Sonanbraugh(?) that's two years old for 8500.00. That's all so far. So we still need 2 more 20 minute baeds. I also want to lease a stand up. We need to get it together if we're opening Nov. I.... |

A few beds that seem to last forever are the 80's WSS 24 (Series 1). You know the brownish bed. The early 90's Series 2 is another one. I also like the older Sonnenbraune beds. Sunals are ok but parts can be a problem. Older Montego Bays, particularly the old 2600 and 3200 Classics are very nice as well. Other than those, it's a crap shoot. |

Rep Power: 25 | Totally Tan I totally disagree with you. As with anything you have to do your homework and buying a used bed is no different but to make a statement like that what you did is abusurd. There are a ton of used beds bought and sold every year and to make a blanket statement that you should never buy a used bed because they are all someone elses headache is insane. |

Rep Power: 0 | I agree with Rick...you shouldn't be afraid of a used bed if the price is right. If the shell and acrylics are good and it lights up the wiring should be good. There are less than a dozen parts (ya multiples) that make them work and could all be replaced for less than the difference in the new and used cost. (If ya do your own work)(if not you should learn, cauz good luck finding someone local to fix it--new or used) |
