Rep Power: 0 | My personal opinion: Interlectric sucks. My old salon used those bulbs. I just switched salons because I had been tanning 3 to 5 times per week for 4 months and was barely tanned. After 1 week (4 sessions) at my new salon, I have a REAL TAN! We use the INTERLECTRIC brand of bulbs, We have been using them for 3 years and my customers just rave about the tan they get from them, The cost of the lamp is very reasonable, plus they deliver them to your door with there delivery service.Call Carla about trying a set in one of your beds and you will be sold, Her number is 1-800-722-2184 ext 134 |

Rep Power: 0 | nn,Did you every think that maybe they did not change there bulbs on a regular basis. We have won over so many customers from other salons that I will never change.Any bulb, know matter who makes it will not give a very good tan if they have been in over 1000 hours.Try them in one bed and you will be sold.DUANE THETANMAN |

Rep Power: 24 | I am shocked that anyone here still talks about "hot", "heating up", "Super bed" is out to lunch! The LAW! NO TANNING UNIT CAN GIVE A HIGHER DOSE THEN 4MED! THEY ALL GIVE THAT, SOME MORE EVENLY.THAT YOU DO NOT TAN FROM HEAT!HEAT MAKES THE OUTPUT OF THE BULBS DROP OFF.THAT A HOT BED IS A POORLY DESIGNED BED!THAT HIGHER UVB BURNS BETTER DOES NOT BROWN BETTER.THAT ALL TANNING LAMPS WILL TAN YOU. SOME IN FAST SESSIONS SOME IN LONGER SESSIONS.WATTAGE AND UVB/UVA RATIOS AND NUMBER OF LAMPS DETERMINE THIS.THAT THE MAKERS OF LAMPS, YOU CAN BE SURE TEST AND COMPARE THEIR LAMPS GLASS FORMULA AND PHOSPHOR CONTENT TO OTHER MAKERS LAMPS.THAT WOLFF HAVE FOUND YEARS AGO THE MOST EFFECTIVE TANNING UVA TO UVB RATIO.JUST WERE THE BELL CURVE SHOULD PEAK.THAT I HAVE YET TO FIND A LAMP THAT WILL NOT TAN WELL, THAT CLIENTS COME UP WILL ALL KIND OF CRAZY IDEAS.THAT MOST CLIENTS THINK TANNING AND UV IS MAGIC AND NOT A KNOWN SCIENCE.WAKE UP! PLEASE! |

Rep Power: 24 | This lamp stuff is 99.99% marketing.Does anyone here really believe that a lamp maker is going to make lamps that don't tan?Come on!You should be looking at keeping your tanning units cool and your acrylic replaced often. Change the lamps at the recommended life hours.Stop listening to your clients chatter, you are the one with access to the information, you can use the tanning units and try different lamps and really know what the facts , that clients are going emotional response not the facts. Most clients think tanning and uv are magic. It is sad that salons use and foster this misinformation to try to convince clients to pick their salon over the one down the street. It makes us all look like fools. |

Rep Power: 24 | Quote:Originally posted by scared:Adam, Yes, you are right, Everglow. What do you mean by "they don't start off as high"? They take longer to heat up? Thanks, just learnin' here! From my experience, when they are new, they dont have as high of an output as other bulbs (i have checked this over and over with a handheld uva/uvb meter) However, i think they are still good bulbs. They may start out metering 24 or so on the meter, and a few hundred hours later, they have only dropped to 22 or 23, while other bulbs i have been metering will start out at 28 or so on the meter, can drop all the way to 22 or so in as little as 100 hours or less. The everglows are a good, long lasting bulb imho, just not the hottest from the start, but because of their ability to last such a long time with a decent output, they are a pretty good value. Did that clear it up any? Feel free to ask any more questions! |

Rep Power: 0 | way to go Chipmaster, Good info, Owners use your resourses to make intelligent decisions about your lamps they all do tan but there are differancesdecide how you want the beds to operate ask questions about phosper mixes recomended life span and of course price, I recomend to try a set of puretan S+ run them for 800hr and test with stickers and meter Chip is right your customers will react to the pop after tanning judge their tan after a weekthat is true proof. |
