Mailing to our database always works for us. Email does the same. Planning a late Feb mailing now. We also use Facebook, trying to get the jist of twitter and a lot of in store advertising.

Tried Val-Pak and won't do it again.

We don't do free tans ever. Working up specials now but I did Din's trick for lotion through november and it was a hit so I will bring that back for a VIP weekend in mid-March.

If i'm not mistaking, it's to give the amount they spend on lotions as a credit for upgrades. Not sure though..

That is one version, people have modified it over the years.

Price of the lotion is given back to the client as single visit tans.

Sorry guys, was just catching up. I don't remember it exactly without finding my notes on it but basically giving back what they pay in lotion to be used towards tanning.

I actually did it this past weekend to move some lotion to make room for new ones. I do Dollar for Dollar on lotions over $50. The buy a lotion for $50 or more excluding tax and I credit that back on their account to be used towards single session prices- tanning beds, airbursh, body wrap... whatever they want to use it towards but single session prices only. I expire that credit in 30 days if not used. I want them to get the lotion, do something and be ready for the next offer. I only did it 2 days(still going on until 6pm) and so far our PPTA is $14.26. Not a lot of foot traffic yet but we moved a lot of product and just about everyone got something. Nice little boost for a slow January.

It's not Din's trick, the lotion companies came up with the idea decades ago to devalue what you sell (tanning) to increase value of what they sell (lotions)
