I have a re-seller account and I pass on my savings to my clients. I just did what I think is a better then average site for a top real estate client for $500. Again I think Dean still does this as well and knows the tanning industry very well!

If your website is not the most prominent on the first page and your competition is, he gets all the traffic. If your website is half-*** and your competition is half-*** or better, he gets a chance at all your traffic. IF your site is the bomb, your get ALL the traffic. Dean built my site which the branding matches my store AND my site blows my competition out the water AND I cover the first two pages. Guess who gets all the traffic...did I save a few pennies on the front end or make it back many times over on my ROI? This is why our industry is always crying about salons dying. We're always trying to be cheap but want our clients to buy top end products. |

Rep Power: 23 | Re: Website advice... I agree but my point is that a #1 half-*** site will send your clients to your competition if their site is a #2 professional looking site. If you were a potential client and had a choice between STC or Bubba's tanning salon with a one page website littered with misspellings and screaming that it was made in someones backyard...who would you go tan at? |

Rep Power: 35 | Re: Website advice... I agree but even the best sites have issues. I couldn't do reservations online the other night at a Marriott Hotel because the site was experiencing difficulty I switched to a different Hotel. STC is no comparison for a single salon owner. You're talking 10K sites verses 1k.

Your browser is smarter than you think, and knows what it most relevant to your searching habits. If your prone to visiting your site on your own computer, it remembers and shows it front and center for you. It may be ranked number 1 on your end, but the guy down the street may be seeing completely different. |
