Re: Do you manage your online reputation?

You rank 28th for your only placement in top 40 granted i am in philly and that placement is your facebook page no website ranking at all on an extremely unique name like that not something to write home about. And pay per review services can be done for free using your existing client base. If u need positive reviews to offset someones bad post offer your regulars a little something should they write a nice review for you.

Re: Do you manage your online reputation?

I made a CD that I hand out to my clients. It walks them to through the whole process of giving us a “positive” rating on four or five sites. It then sends me an email that tells me which site/s they visited so I can then confirm. After I do, I place $5.00 for each site in their account for tanning services. It works REAL well for us.
It pushes all the bad stuff down and, its from real people, my clients.

Re: Do you manage your online reputation?

We send out thank-you cards whenever a client does something that stands out, whether it is buying a bottle of lotion, doing something funny in the salon or If we hear about something like a wedding, birthday, or vacation.

When we send the thank-you card it usually contains a few free tan cards for friends, the card is hand written with some kind of reference to whatever made us remember them. Ex;
"Hey ron, just wanted to wish you a safe voyage on your honeymoon to Hawaii! Here are some free tan cards for your friends to catch up to your awesome tans!"

We also include a post card that offers a review incentive. For every review they leave on Yelp, Facebook page, or our Google place we give them $10 credit. It has been hugely popular. Takes the thank-you card to another level.

Re: Do you manage your online reputation?

People usually will do things if they know they will be getting something in return, it’s because of this that offering discounts works so well. I would also make sure you have a good online presence in the form of a website and some social networking sites. Honestly I would try dabbling in SEO (search engine optimization) as it can be beneficial in building your online reputation up.

Re: Do you manage your online reputation?

back to the point - I creat alot of content. across alot of review sites. generally people focus on google to find you then use YELP to review you. unfortunately yelp filters reviews even real ones and sometimes they let the fake ex employee reviews stick! yes i have this same delimma in fact you can also be my guest to check that out yourself too!
yelp sucks but it can also be used for good. We work with Main street hub they are good at what they do. and help your seo. also we work with SPOTON for rewards for our customers. its a fun interesting way to keep customers entertained at your desk by checking in and earning spots for rewards - they can use the same card for other places. at the time they are using the card it helps to ask them if they have left a review for you. some will jsut do it right in front of me on their phone. GREAT!
X-Treme tan facebook page has alot of great reviews as well...check that out its a beautiful page!

Re: Do you manage your online reputation?

Read guidelines on from which ever review site your creating content from to understand. and respond back to every one even bad ones, even from a looooong time ago.
you can also use tanningnearyou.com - it gives you all of your review sites on one dashboard and updates you to any new reviews!
Ive been working on reviews for a long time i really hope these tips work out for you!

Re: Do you manage your online reputation?

Has anyone ever had any luck having reviews removed from Google? We have a disgruntle customer (i gave her $$ back and asked her to leave because she was violent with one of my employees over an honest mistake) so she is now online posting horrible reviews that are not true about cleanliness, infections.. awful stuff. I have obviously went underneath the reviews and commented that they are false but they still hurt my business and my rating. So discouraging that you work so hard for your name and someone can hurt it so fast! I was thinking about posting something on our FB explaining the situation and asking customers to go and put their good reviews to knock hers down but dont want to be the place with drama... thoughts?
