Tanning Pictures for website
 

I have started a mobile tanning business and have almost completed my website. I would love to know where I could get pictures and a video of an actual spray tan to post on my website.
Any suggestions?

post on your facebook or craigslist that you need a model to pose of before/after shots. in exchange, offer them the best airbrush tan of their lives. I did this when we started offering sunless mobile and it worked out really well.

How long have you been in the spray tanning business? Did you get any training on the best spray tan technique or did you just practice on friends first? Just wondering because I am a tad nervous about tanning someone for $!

I found a video online here:

And practiced a LOT on friends before charging. I'd do my friends for free and sure enough within 2 or 3 days they would be sending their friends in and I'd be able to collect my $40!

We always tell our clients if they aren't happy with the spray tan, that once it has fully developed the next day they can come in and we will touch it up or respray them for free.

You can find alot of videos on you tube also. You will feel better after spraying about 8-10 friends or family. Take before and after shots too. Make sure you sample several solutions until you feel like you choose the best for you. Dont decide on the very first one that might have came with your machine. I tried about 7 differents brands, marked them on white index cards and wrote about the smell, color and fading beside it. After I tried all 7 and went back and decided which one was best for me.

i just started and havent got as far as facebook or website yet but i deff would say make sure YOU are in the video. people can put a face with your name and see exactly what it would be like when they come to you.. so they arent as nervous and stuff! :)

Take advantage of any local television station or even radio programs to highlight your tanning services as a small local business.

This will accomplish a few important factors:

1. promote your business
2. provide you with content for your site
3. build trust with new clients
4. highlight your skills as a tanning professional
5. great networking opportunity! : )

Rather then kijiji or some of the other online sites you could team up with a local photographer and several models - so the photographer & models can add professional images to their portfolios and you get great shots for your site. Model Mayhem is a great resource.
