What kinda Specials are people running this season

No specials in prime time...no need. This is our few months of making revenue for the off months. But, we will do value added specials but no sales.

But, this year I am making 30 day sample zipper bags with miniature lotion (everyday shorts), mini face product (everyday shorts), mini after tan lotion and a pair of eye wear.

Salon cost approx $17.00 and retail $36.00. Nice for the quick 1 month or 1 week tanners and to introduce people to products.

Its Winter Ball time, I do a " he pays for his, she gets hers free" couples only promo. The kids love it, it gets more students to try the spray tan and some become regular clients! This is the 3rd year i've offered this promo, and it has brought in new clients each year!!

Next level upgrades for 30 days, for EFT only - one time upgrade charge. Regular deduction comes out and then a month upgrade gets taken at POS.

All level changes get charged 17.00 for the 30 days.

Crystal----Thank you I wish salons close by would catch on to this...Its busy time you shouldn't have to put packages on sale! Maybe lotions to get them to buy the better products even just 10% sounds better than full price! I hate discounting packages during busy season but I think I'm going to have to since everyone around me is!! This is my 6th busy season and I haven't had to yet but the other salons must be hurting, I guess I will see what my numbers do and go from there.

Hi Jeff, I'm a new member to the tanning industry and these forums. Last June we took over an existing salon. After huge improvements to upscale, we are doing well. Lynette, the text club is an opt in program that I use through textripple.com. the clients text our keyword (bodyrays) to a specific number given from them (411669) and it will automatically will text them an intro offer ($10 off any package, lotion, massage or teeth whitening).

I can send 2 txts per month on the plan I chose and can do so at any time by logging in and setting it up.

It has worked pretty well here. I need to be more aggressive getting people onto it as we only have about 150 on there.

I would like a special for new customers only. I am getting a lot of calls from people asking for prices. We don't do specials during the busy season because we don't need to. But I would like to have something for new customers to get them to come to us instead of our cheaper competition.

Any ideas?
