Rep Power: 16  | Sharing the market What if you could come together with your competition and advertise about tanning in general- not for your specific salon.... Include a coupon that can redeemed at any of the salons included on the advertisement.... Direct mail.... Working with them to make the industry stronger could be a win for all. I have worked with my comp in the past in some advertising, but we all had our own space included. I'm talking about generalizing things, including a logo for each, one coupon. One of my comps is pretty nice the other might take some convincing, if I can bite my tongue during his rudeness.

Rep Power: 46  | Re: Sharing the market i thinks its a good idea. in the past i have thought about getting some local salons togehter to go in on advertising. my idea was to get 4 or 5 salons that are def not competitors(due to distance) and pool advertising dollars together. then make a generalized commercial that mentions all the salons at the end...co-op advertising just never did it..

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Sharing the market ^^How far is a salon that you do not consider competition? If the market is far away (or too far- according to your criteria) why would you want to pool ad dollars in a market you won't capture anyway?

In my town there are 3 major chains in between all of us smaller salons. If i could get the smaller salons on board, i think we could have some great results. |
