i was thinking of doing a special for this Fri Sat Sun ONLY! something like,

This Friday, Saturday, Sunday ONLY!
Bring in your Old Lotion & Upgrade
to a New Better quality lotion.

anyone have any imput as too verbage and also, what kind of Credit should be givin to custo for there old lotion ect.

we have had good luck with promotions like this....we do a
"TAN 4 FREE" W/PURCHASE.....I use lotions that i have a good margin in, ie Black from 3 wishes.. $. wholsale, i retail at $60. we give them 4 V.H.P. visits ($10 avg. cost) or 2 UB visits ($20. avg. cost) "PERCEVIED TANNING VALUE IS $40." They are only paying $20. for thier lotion....the cost of the tanning is nothing, you get them in a better lotion as well as get those who havn't been in a upgrade to try and like them. as well as cover cost of lotion.

you can try offering a percentage back of purchase in free tans...not packages...but single tans...their choice. time to upgrade your lotion? heres a deal for you. purchase any bottle of tanning lotion and receive 50% back...instantly in free tans. "lotion rewards" free tans with purchase.

See Din's Trick, it will outsell any amount of free tans you offer with the lotion. Eventhough it may be less.!!!! All in the wording.

Buy $60 lotion and get $60 credited back to your account. So the lotion ends up being free.

That $60 credit can then be used towards tanning (at single sessions)

UB $20/tan (walk in/single session price)....that $60 credit will give you 3 UB sessions.

When you explain to them that they are going to pay for tanning regardless, why not get a free lotion for it.....that wording always sells them.

Dean, Do you offer that with all lotions regardless of price? What about clients already on a package, do you allow credit to be used towards upgrade fees?

single sessions only...
i don't know how you would offer it back in "on your account" i mean we have where we could put it on their "pre pay" (suntouch) but too easily they could use it for anything...not just single tans...so we make them decide right then and there....which single tans they want. we call it "instant rebate of free tans"
when we clearance out certain lotions...rather than discounting them...we offer the 100% back, instantly in free tans. normal weekly featured lotion is more in line with 50% back or more...sometimes a $25 tanning package is offered back as well. never discounted lotions. full retail :)
