Does anyone have any great ideas for a grand opening. We are schedule to open Dec 19th so i need to start planning.

Yeah, make sure everything is up & running for a week or 2 before actually having a Grand Opening celebration. Nothing better than customers coming in & the people behind the counter have no idea how anything works yet.

10 days $10
buy 1 month get 1 free
introductory prices...(less money for that day)
free lotion with package purchase..(get clients using lotion right away)

main thing to do is wait like john said...id do introductory prices until right before your areas peak season. set the date now to get word of mouth going.

What about contacting lotion companies for promotional giveaways. Do any companies do this? Like Devoted Creations, Aussie Gold...companies like this.

Good luck getting anything from Devoted... or your lotion distributor... I just tried today for our 5 year anniversary and they tried to get us to buy a promo kit that was pretty spendy... can always try though!

How does the 7 for 7 or 10 for 10 work ? Is there a catch ?

We ran a 5 days for $5 (in 2001) when we opened. Went over real well. It was limited to 5 consecutive days for $5. Most people came 2-3 times (some only 1-2 times), but still have long time customers from it. It is NOT for 5 days whenever they want. The 5 day pkg expired 5 days from the day they started tanning. Good luck! Definately wait until after you open and get started. (working out the kinks...)

I've been getting lotions from devoted for the last 3 years now, without a problem. They are the most generous from all other companies that i've seen.

Well, except for when Caltan used to send out lotions back in the day (pre ETS)...but those days are over.

Devoted is very generous with lotions and products and materials. Always have been.

my grand opening i contacted my lotion distributor that had devoted creations, pro tan, playboy etc send me promo lotion packs....i then gave away free tans and lotion all day from open to close. it went very well. no one in my area ever offered that before. so not only did people tan for free they got an awesome lotion for free too!
