Back from the show. Amazing lineup from all the majors. New Sunshine, Devoted, Supre, Fiji, and Performance all had some great new offerings.

New Sunshine bumped their rebate to 25% up from 22%

Devoted added to their already successful lineup and added a lowcost line

Supre really kicked it up a notch with price points that will sell

Fiji expanded their successful lines from last year

Performance is doing instant rebates which means you get packets with every bottle you buy. Plus they added to the Ink line which was so successful.

Tan Inc added about a million new products making them too darn confusing

New Sunshine didn't show their wares on the floor but they are really putting the pressure on the smaller companies from what I have seen.

Overall the competition just got serious and everyone brought it this year. With NS likely to overtake the 90% mark in sales as they look to have made the best moves in new products.

If you have not tried the Squeeze line I highly recommend it! The Acai berry is a great lotion for new tanners with no DHA and no paraben but accelerators that will get them started. Then you can move them up to the Tangerine or the Pomegranate (which has black seed oil, great for Psoriasis).

Just ordered Retro Couture, Beautiful You, and Bleeding love from Devoted. Can't wait to get them in and try them! Does anyone know what the 'stimulators' in Posh Couture are? I know this normally stands for tingle but the Sales Rep @ DC couldn't even fill me in, she said she wasnt sure if it was tingle or not. Seriously?! I wanted to laugh. If its not hot-action I would think its at least warm-action. Any confirmation on this? We didn't make it to TN for the Expo this year, aside from Devoted what else is really worth looking at?

got2bdark, I just tried Posh Couture this morning. It definately is not a tingler so I'm not sure what the stimulators are. I actually thought thats what it meant too. In my opinion, the only one I somewhat liked was the Retro Couture. I did not see the blush results from the Bleeding Love. Still waiting for my employees to finish trying them to let me know what they think.

You mean you talked to your distributor right? B/c we can't directly talk with DC reps unless its in a training session. If you can talk to them direct, can I get the number/name? DC Posh Couture Stimulators = enhances the tanning experience with an immediate skin sensation. Its the same idea as a tingle but without the heat. Hope that helps!

Yeah TTGFL, sorry...I'm always using the wrong words, but the distributor is what I meant to say. Glad to know it's not a tingle! I'll make sure to order that next, a lot of my customers like the warm-action especially during the colder months. I tried the bleeding love today and I felt like I got pretty decent color from it! We also received a Beautiful You and Retro Couture so I'll be trying those over the weekend.

The New Sunshine stuff looks like it will rock I wish I had pictures to post. They look to exceed their 90% marketshare in 2009. It is amazing how many products they alone sell plus the beds, lamps and Helios etc.

BTW mriinternational is quoted in tanning trends as projecting 10 million in products to salons which means 40-45 million retail in 2008. Amazing numbers from their president. But if that is remotely true then they are now bigger then Devoted Creations, Fiji as well as Performance Brands good show for them.
