i'm not sure which lotions to try?

i've only been tanning for a few months now, and have been using "Fabulously Bronze" by ProTan.

i really don't like it. it doesn't seem to do anything.

I'm 16, have very fair skin, but don't seem to burn at all. i don't tan easily. i don't want a lotion that heats up or gets extremely tingly.
i don't want anything that would make me orange.

i tried a packet of "Priceless" by Swedish Beauty and really liked it. its just a little $$$.

i was also considering trying "Paradisio" or "Speed of Light" by Designer Skin.

If someone could point me towards a good lotion under $70-80 i would really apreciate it.=)

Re: i'm not sure which lotions to try?

the lotion u are using is basically a starter lotion. if you have been tanning for a couple of months then u should definitely step it up to a better lotion. as far as your skin type and what bed and what lotions your salon has, i suggest you speak to them for recommendations about what to get. It also sounds like u may not be using enough lotion when you tan. you should use 1/2 to 1 oz before each tanning session. protan is 8.5 oz, i think, so it should have lasted u about 16 visits. easy way to figure is # of oz in bottle x2= the most amount of times the bottle should last u. if u buy a more expensive lotion and then skimp with it because you paid more, you are wasting your money and should stick with the cheap stuff. I am sure you have heard the saying, you get what u pay for!! good luck to you!!

The paradisio is a good choice thats one of my new favorites this year and the speed of light has always been a good one. If the salon you go to caries fiji products try a packet of Nano, not Nano Fresh, but the Nano in the brown bottle. My semi-fair skin customers have had great luck with it without the streaking you might get with other heavy bronzers.

i have sold 6 bottles of paradisio & 4 of the customers wanted their money back. i would try it a few times before buying the bottle. speed of light is a great lotion but has a lot of DHA which may streak you. my reccomendation would be MAJESTY, SPELLBOUND, or REVIVAL by Designer Skin all of which are top sellers in my salon.

okay, thanks for the input everyone, i'll look into some of those lotions.

and the reason i'm not asking at my salon is because i go to a chain salon (Ultimate Exposure). last time i mentioned i needed to try a new lotion the lady just handed me the 2 most expensive bottles and told me i needed to get one of those; without letting me say what i wanted or how my skin reacts to tanning.
