Re: Where to buy lotions?

"...thus are justified in charging exorbitant prices for lotions."

By exorbitant you mean selling at the MANUFACTURERS suggested retail? Well heck, next time I go in Applebee's I will complain about their pricing and insist I bring my own salad mix.

Re: Where to buy lotions?

Yesterday for lunch at Red Robin I paid $2.50 for a soft drink. There was no choice for size and I didn't need a refill nor did I finish the 16 oz. glass. The markup on that drink was over 200%.

Re: Where to buy lotions?

bottom line. You can buy what ever you want from where ever you want.

Just remember, NO TANNING LOTION COMPANY AUTHORISES ON LINE SALES so it's buy at your own risk.

NOW, with the way the economy is you will see more and more tanning (and every industry for that matter) products showing up on auction cause they have to unload it somewhere.

My question is to these SALON OWNERS IS, why would you sell/stock a product that can be bought for less at auction?

It's a sign of times, and things will re adjust and are starting to do so as we've seen with certain higher end lotions being out of stock for months on end.

THAT'S WHAT WE WANT! Low SUPPLIES to drive UP price and DEMAND. If it's worth the money, it'll sell for the money.

Look at the Nintendo WII. Still selling at 25% over SRP AT AUCTION and there are THOUSANDS available.

eBay sets the market price and as a business owner you should be watching this market and adjust what you sell accordingly.

Re: Where to buy lotions?

Currently tan at Hollywood Tans.. and they only sell their own line of lotion...and I haven't found anything I love yet. The hypoallergenic lotion actually made my skin break out in a rash.

So I have been calling and visiting other salons to see what they carry. One salon actually ordered something for me and had it within 2 days! Looking forward to my cancelling the HT Contract.. only 6 more weeks.. Then I will be joining the Salon that was willing to order a lotion for me... when I wasn't even a customer yet.

Re: Where to buy lotions?

That is awesome Marley...I order lotions all the time for my customers if they have special requests. I also order for people that dont tan with me and thier salon does not order them what they need.
