Where to buy lotions? - Page 3

I guess my last post was deleted? Anyway, I was just saying that it's not really fair to be so harsh with those of us who don't really know any better. We don't have the knowledge that you've built up and, of course, most people do want to save money any way we can. I didn't know that tanning salons make most of their money from selling the lotions.

So, I guess the ads on this site are not good to buy from?

These days you have to look out for all kinds of counterfeit items, tanning lotions, purses, cologne you name it they have a counterfeit for it.

I honestly think you just need to find a good, reputable seller. I bought a bottle of Priceless which sells for $80 in my salon on ebay for $27. I then bought a sample from my salon. Same consistency, smell and color. I tested both out on each leg and no difference! While I agree there may be some counterfeit products, not all of them are.

Especially in Canada I have seen salon take a 50% mark up on a bottle of lotion. While some salons are selling a specific very popular brand $85 another one is selling it $135.

Its the greedy ones that make their customers go thru Ebay

You can google the fact that recently a group of people was busted for counterfiting Ferrari.

Gidget I completely agree with you^^^^

We have customers that come in from other salons that carry the same lotions we do and customers will say wow you guys don't charge as much as so and so!!! We ask them how much place XXX is charging and they mark it way above MSRP! It's unbelievable! Those are the jerks in this business that turn customers other places like the internet to look for lotions.

My advice to those of you going through ebay. Talk to your salon, they might be willing to work with you to make the sale! Just a thought!
