Re: Where to buy lotions?

Lets not forget, the younger you are the less expensive lotion you need. If you are 18 and tan well, a $120 retail bottle of lotion will not do much better than that $25 one. However as you get older you need the skin care products found in the more expensive bottles. Those ingredients are what make them more expensive: anti-aging, firming, etc...

Re: Where to buy lotions?

Unity did you really just say you could use cheap crap lotions if you are younger? Makes no sense, dont you think you should be maintaining your skin...your body's largest organ...regardless of your age?

Re: Where to buy lotions?

Yes. But the more expansive lotions have a lot that a younger person will not benefit from. Does a young person need anti-aging and anti-cellulite complex? Not at all. There is lots of other things in a high end lotion a young (16 to 24ish) person does not need and will not utilize.

I am not making this up, its been covered in cosmetic classes and even the lotion seminars.

I still believe in using a quality product, but there is such thing as over kill....

One: You don't know if the lotion is the real deal
Two: That is something you put on your body, anyone could add something into the lotion.
Three: Tanning beds are expensive, you are not getting in mine unless I know what you are using will not hurt my beds or yourself. If you were to go to the hospital for some reason (the lotion) you would still try to place blame on my salon.
I totally agree with you! Think of getting your hair done and buying a certain hair product at that salon, most salons guarantee their products and if you look closely on the bottle it says if you didn't purchase that item from a salon that they cannot be responsible for what happens if it screws your hair up. I have taken customers lotions and given them a great discount to have decent lotion. I have seen what they sell of ebay, one girl brought in a bottle of siren and I happened to have some on my shelf, I took her bottle and had her smell and look at the consistency of what was in each, her bottle was full a gloppy running smelly lotion was obviously not the same product and she was totally upset. So I say if you get screwed on ebay you get what you pay for~

Re: Where to buy lotions?

When you get counterfeits its a good idea to keep them and a bottle of real stuff to compare in front of clients. That way they can SEE the risk they are taking and it will not look like you are just trying to push your own products.

Re: Where to buy lotions?

o.k., oops. I just realized I didn't order from the john abate site cause I couldn't. I ordered from an online store. That's probably not a good thing, right? Darn it!

Re: Where to buy lotions?

If a customer is that cheap I would rather them tan somewhere else.

Re: Where to buy lotions?

C'mon, that's not nice...some of us are just uninformed. I had no idea about the difference in products and I didn't realize that the lotion is where you guys make the most income. Instead of just assuming they are cheap and sending them somewhere else to tan, realize that everyone doesn't have your knowledge base and yes, most people do try to save money where ever they can.
