Are you serious? You would give away product and upgrades to someone buying Black? Or any high-end lotion for that matter? Why give it away? Why not, at the very most, incorporate it into a package? Dear Lord, it's no wonder salon's are not making money if everything in the shop is a give away reward for buying a bottle of lotion. Black is NEW for 2008! PROMOTE IT! Get excited about it and all these new lotions! Show your employees that you're excited about them and they will be too. It sells at retail in cow-town Colorado because it works and we love it.
Everyone who walks in here - has my money. I have to get it from them today - before they leave my shop! It's a "calm" sense of urgency I exude. Merry Christmas people! Get your money back!

Tried Black, loved it. Felt like putting a $100 bottle of lotion on yet I would never spend $100 on it. I've sold six packets and everyone loved it. Not enough to buy a bottle though. I agree with the DS line being bought by AG/ETS. The '08 DS line looks to have lost a lot of class. C'mon - "Smile - You're Dark"?!?!? Catered to a teeny-bopper yet priced for the middle aged. Designer Skin has been my main line. I might have to look elsewhere if they can't continue what they've been doing.

Ordered packets in first..hyped it all up, along with 14K and a few others..priced the packets accordingly, you know if someone is willing to pony up $10 for a packet..they are more than likely to spend $100. After selling the packets..we pre-sold the lotion before it arrived..creating that excitement and "wow" factor. Worked great..presold 6 Black, 6 14K and a couple others in the first 2 days of having the packets for sale.
I personally bought a bottle for myself..loved the application, the smell was jus so-so and the results? Eh..not impressive.. The customers that paid the 100 for the bottle? LOVE IT! (I guess I would be to..atleast force myself to believe that!) I have had so many compliments on it and how much they love it. If you can pre sell...keeps inventory costs down..by alot..since the cost to us is way more than most of the inventory we keep, try it out! Its all about how you market it! As for Ebay..I am not thrilled..found 14K on there for 40 incl shipping..wish we could do something about this.. |

I have customers that love it, but I only charged 75.00. It smells good and their color is really nice. I haven't used it cause I try to use DHA free stuff and natural bronzers, but all my feedback for Black has been positive.l
