well if employee incentive is there you DEF got a problem.

something i did was come up with a few sayings that i require my employees to say(including myself). this would bring up the lotion questions and if its being used or not.

id bet your employees are just getting the cleints name or id # and sending them off.

they need to be communicating with clients, asking things like

what lotion are you using today? do you need lotion today?

the best thing i could have ever done was offer all clients a 20% discount on lotion bottles if they buy it with a package. this alone brought up the whole lotion topic and gave us a opportunity to explain the benefits. we ask even if they have a lotion sitting right in front of us.

we also always ask the clients if they need lotion or anything else for their visit today.

We do 25% off of their first purchase- the day they become a new customer this gets them into lotions etc..

Yes-- he is quite a local celebrity here..

He works at the Burgerville.. and sings karaoke at Platinum a local club..

You are already offering great incentives, so if this is a consistant thing, I'd say it's time to either retrain or rehire. Everyone goes thru sales slumps... a few days or a week at most. Anything more than that needs to be addressed.

My girls are really on the ball this last couple weeks because they're excited about the new lotions coming out, so they're selling the stock we have so I can bring in lots of new product. Have you been talking up the new products?

Very low prices on your beds! I'd raise prices and tan fewer people and make the same cash. Not a knock just a thought.

We are in a town where everyone looks for a deal...

If we don't have good deals.. people don't tan..

We tanned 107 yesterday, $457 in sales.. $130 was lotion

We tanned about 300 per day last year in season.. it was our first year.. we are doing better than last year at this time, With the volume of tanners we have, if we had some good sales folks.. we should do $400-$500 every day
