No different then an insurance company selling a salvaged automobile.
They will pay the claim and try to recoup what they can on the back end.

So yes this happens all the time.

Okay, I've known about the insurance companies doing this with cars, but in this case the insurance company was told by Tanology that there were concerns about contamination....so why would they turn around and let someone sell them? Thats just crazy if you ask me...seems they would be liable if someone has some bad reaction after using those products, although I'm sure the insurance company has covered their rears!

Re: Tanology on ebay?

well the insurance company could sell to a salvage company to recoup some of the loss. My insurance totalled my car once and asked IF I wanted to buy it back. It had frame damage and could not be repaired to my satisfaction. But you know they fixed the car and resold it.

Re: Tanology on ebay?

If tanology had told them they didn't want it back because it was damaged the insurance should have detroyed it. but a buck is a buck. Let's find out who the insurance company is and we will all call them.

Re: Tanology on ebay?

Okay good question, let's find out if any tan talk salonowner is near you and can get you some!

Anyone???

Otherwise we'll call Tanology and ask them direct. I think they do export to Australia, so it must be possible :-)

Re: Tanology on ebay?

Explain this to me? Is this a product that is only to be sold in tanning salons? I used to be a hairdresser, and it just irks me that products like Paul Mitchell are being sold at CVS now.
