Looks like a great wealth of information :)

I am blond and have somewhat fair skin. Meaning that I am casper white right now but I can tan up pretty good when I spend some time at it or have a week or two at the beach :)

I have a bodybuilding competition coming up and need to start tanning for it. My goal is to have a wickedly dark base tan before my protan and dream tan are applied at the show.

To get super dark as posible... what do people suggest? I am ok with bronzers I guess but ideally would enjoy something that can last.

well i hope your body building competition is a month off cuz that's what it's going to take.

start by building a base tan in conventional beds going every other day for 3 sessions then do a high pressure bed for full time. repeat this again for another set. then on the third set change the 3rd conventional session with a medium or high performance bed. keep repeating this adjusting the time in the low pressure beds as needed to prevent burning.

as for lotions i would try to avoid bronzers until you have developed some color. even with an intense tan i find them to be fake looking one me if i use them too much. thats jsut my opinion. a great non bronzer lotion is Caltan's Ionyx or even Caltan's CT7 non-bronzer if you can afford it. Designer Skin Dolce can be great for skin care too. being fair skinned you're going to have to MOISTURIZE!!! I like to use Supre Hempz immediately after tanning. leaves my skin soft and smooth! staying moisturized will keep you're tan much longer. anybody else got any tips? help this guy out!
