i do mine by brand priced lowest to highest (left to right cause most peeps are right handed so they grab a more expensive lotion)

i put my best line at eye level and save the top shelf for gift bags,moisturizers and what not

currently i have devoteds full line,pures full line, waheki golds full line , 4 DS, full fiesta tini line, 5 AG, 4 SB

90% OF OUR LOTION SALES ARE FROM WHAT WE RECOMMENDED THE CLIENT

I LET CLIENTS TOUCH FEEL AND SMELL AS MANY AS THEY WANT

MY SHELVES ONLY ALLOW FOR 2-3 DEEP

Good point about the touching/feeling part. That is what I try to teach my employees. Put the bottle in the customers hand. First, open it and bump the bottle on the palm of your hand to let the customer smell it. If you squeeze it, there is sometimes that little bit of lotion that comes shooting out. If you just bump the bottom of the bottle on your palm of the other hand, it shoots out a little bit of air. Put the top back on and hand it to them. They are less likely to buy it if they have to pick it up than they are if they have to put it back to not buy it. There is something subconcious about once you have something, you want to keep it.

I just counted.. and I have 52 different kinds of lotions, is that too much?

I do the same thing bill.. I like the fiji bottles because alot of them can't be put down without the lid so i always take the cap off and hand it to them.. always works.
