Re: Trying to break plateau
Ah ok! Good stuff definitely.
And Edrockster, you tried Platinum Zero Tingle-free, but you should also try Platinum Zero T4 IMO. Very nice. Strong tingle and cooling at the same time. No bronzer. |

Re: Trying to break plateau
After 5 weeks of tanning twice a week, I find that my body has adjusted to the tingle from Pyro. I still get mild-red but this disappears after 30 minutes or so. The color is OK, nothing special.
Designer Goddess did not give me a tingle at all, and their was no color improvement. I switched to a 160 watt bed and stayed in for 15 minutes and I still found Pyro to produce some results, whereas Designer Goddess was very poor in comparison and produced absolutely no results. BTW, i have olive skin and looking to go chocolate dark. For the face, JA Platinum zero was OK at first but I haven't been getting results ever since. Same goes for Fiji Sunswept. Any more lotions I should try ?? Im spefically looking for a hot-tingle non-bronzer lotion that will make me go chocolate brown. |

Re: Trying to break plateau
Consider non-tingles that may give better results.
If your salon carries California Tan Pyro, they may also carry the new CT7. Try a packet of that -- it is their top of the line. If you can find any "Tanology" (may be hard to find in Europe?), that also gets high marks. You have already found the JA products and those seem to be helping too. The only other thing to consider is to up your tanning. Twice a week is not that often, if you are trying to go from olive to chocolate brown. You have only done 10 sessions total (5 weeks, 2/week), which is generally about what you need to get your base tan. I think you may just be a little impatient, and are trying to find the "magic" lotion, when what you really need (for the results you are seeking) is just greater UV stimulation. Good luck! |

Re: Trying to break plateau
As your salon carries JA, do they also have the Cote D'Azur Line? It's got a bronzing complex and workes very well. Like Melon Frappé if you like the tingle or Mango Flambé (that one I haven't dared to try myself LOL).
Tanology is not available in the Netherlands according to RAI, maybe in the UK, but I don't know abou that. |
